Election2015: Newton Prep opens up the ballot boxes

Election2015: Newton Prep opens up the ballot boxes
Assembly Pupil Parliament

The national results are still rolling in but here at Newton Prep, we have a result!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Newton Prep polling station opened for voting today, as the pupils of the Upper School looked at the five top local candidates fighting for the marginal Battersea seat, but one of Labour's hottest targets. The seat is currently held by Jane Ellison, a great supporter of both Newton Prep and our local maintained-sector partner, St George's,

Mr Kirwan Taylor has put together the ballot papers for today's election at the school. Meanwhile 6NE conducted interviews with a range of senior teachers, with a range of political views! The resulting video, directed, produced and edited by Thea Boyle from 6NE, can be seen below.

Watch this space to see the result: Newton Prep will probably declare at lunchtime on Friday. The nationwide result in Battersea will probably be known at around 2.30am on Friday morning.
