We have been lucky enough to secure the presence of all three main party candidates standing for election in Battersea on 8th June at our very own live Hustings right here at Newton Prep, on Monday 5th June, for one hour between 4.15-5.15pm.

It has now been revealed that this event is now the only Hustings of the Battersea general election campaign: the recent terrorist outrages caused the cancellation of the only other event at which the Battersea candidates share a platform from which they speak and answer questions.
All parents, staff and children from the Upper School are invited to come and listen to each candidate lay out their political wares in a short speech, following which they will answer your questions. The event is run in a scrupulously fair way to allow each candidate exactly the same amount of time per issue, so this will not be a shouting match like the TV leaders' debate!
This is a golden opportunity for you to have an up close and personal look at the person who will be representing this seat in Parliament for the next five years - just three days before you have to go to the Ballot Box!
