All parents and Upper School children are invited to our spontaneously offered Newton Forum on Monday 19th June, from 7-8.30pm.
The lovely Sam Hunter, who directed the stageshow part of our Dalai Lama Day and who is Raphi Samuels’s godmother, has very kindly offered to take us behind the scenes of her extraordinary achievement at the London Olympics, stage managing the legendarily good opening and closing ceremonies in 2012.
With great footage, amazing music, lightshows and irresistible insider detail, Sam and her co-star Julia Whittle, will bring to life the incredible back stories behind that Royal helicopter parachute jump, the descending Olympic rings on fire and how to co-ordinate 12,000 athletes and 15,000 volunteers!
