Mr Dobbing is passionate about the power of technology to enrich learning for both pupils and staff. He has designed an ambitious and forward-thinking computing curriculum that gives all pupils access to cutting-edge tools, including robotics, 3D design, film editing and app development. In 2025, his work helped Year 8 pupils at Newton Prep reach the final of the national Apps for Good competition, where they designed a mobile app aimed at supporting mental health.

Beyond the classroom, Mr Dobbing is a regional community leader for Computing at School in London, where he supports and inspires other educators. Through his website, Primary Tech Review, he shares practical examples of how technology can meaningfully transform education. He is also the author of the published book Computing and Digital Learning for Primary Teachers.

Mr Dobbing is a Gemini Certified Educator, giving him valuable insight into how artificial intelligence can be used effectively and responsibly in education. He is also a Google Certified Educator (Level 1), enabling him to explore and promote ways technology can enhance creativity, communication, collaboration and organisation across the curriculum.
