Girls' Netball gets off to a bouncy start

Girls' Netball gets off to a bouncy start
Sport

High quality netball is already showing up in new-look teams that have not played before - in Yrs 7&8 matches against Frances Holland, Year 5 against Hornsby House and finally this past weekend. Playing at the London Prep Schools' fixture, hosted at Dorset House, the Newton Prep U9 girls on their group stage, easily beating the Harrodian A Squad, which then put them into the final, a gripping affair. Overall, we came second but this was out of the entire tournament, played by a new young squad already showing promising quality: a fantastic result.

Coming in for special mention out of all these matches: Maria Moser, \isabelle Gough-Cooper, Emily Harden, Lily Voyce, Clementine Flook, Anna Marquez and Rania Ali.

We really appreciate all the cheers we get from the balcony during our Newton-based matches and we look forward to more parental support at next week's home fixtures:

  • Year 4 vs Broomwood Hall on Monday @ 2pm
  • Year 6 vs Frances Holland on Monday @ 4pm

See you there!
