As part of our series of talks for parents, we are very pleased to announce that Rachel Vecht will be leading a talk entitled "Emotions Matter; How to Listen so Kids will Talk", on Thursday May 4th 2017.
With a background in teaching, Rachel works for Educating Matters which announces that ‘Parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.’ Since 2001, Educating Matters has worked with thousands of parents to maximise the time they spend with them and bring out the very best in them. Educating Matters has run seminars on parenting with many city institutions such as JP Morgan, Ernst and Young and Morgan Stanley as well as schools and other educational institutions. The theme of this talk will be communicating with children and topics to be discussed include the Benefits of emotional caching and acknowledging feelings, Reflective Listening, Emotions and Sentence Starters. It is designed for all parents whether you have a six year old or thirteen year old, as the ability to communicate and listen is so important during childhood.
