We are thrilled to announce that Newton Prep’s production of Hamlet has received national recognition from the National School Theatre Awards.
The production has been nominated for:
- Best Actor in a Play
- Best Supporting Actor in a Play
- Best Prep School Production
- Best Play
- Best Ensemble
These nominations are a wonderful celebration of the dedication, creativity and talent shown by our pupils throughout the rehearsal process and performances.
A highlight of the school year, Hamlet showcased the ambition and quality of drama at Newton Prep. With professional-standard staging, costumes and production values, our Year 8 pupils delivered a performance that was both powerful and thought-provoking, demonstrating exceptional maturity, confidence and stagecraft.
Drama is an integral part of life at Newton Prep, with opportunities for pupils across the school to develop their creativity, collaboration and communication skills through performances, productions and classroom learning. This latest recognition reflects the strength of our performing arts provision and the commitment of staff, pupils and families who work together to bring productions of this calibre to life.
